Boko Haram militants invaded Gombe State
today, and have reportedly taken over the police station in Nafada
local government area, and Ashaka cement factory in the state.
Premium Times reports
that the terrorists overpowered police officers at the station, and
that some of the officers fled when they arrived. Authorities are said
to have sent reinforcement to the town to try to take back the station
from the terrorists.
Also, the insurgents stormed the cement factory, where they shot indiscriminately at the workers, according to Sahara Reporters. They subsequently took over the factory.
