Borno public schools would re-open in November after a seven months lockdown, the State Government said yesterday.

It was revealed by Chairman, Committee on the Resuscitation of
Primary School Education, Dr. Mohammed Dongel at a meeting in Maiduguri,
who said that the schools would reopen next month, in the first or the
second week.
“
We hope to reopen all public schools by the first or second week of November God willing,” Dr. Mohammed Dongel said.
He added that the committee hoped to have put in place all the
necessary infrastructure and instruction materials for encouraging
teaching and learning:
“We plan to introduce various measures to encourage parents to send their children and wards to school.”
He also said that the measures would also help to attract pupils who are registered in school to remain.
